Update: Swiss CTA Andreani to start trading new quant long/short equity program on June 3rd

Alexandre M. Andreani, CEO/CIO of Andreani & Associés, started a strategic partnership with a family office based in Switzerland (near Geneva), specialized in quantitative systematic programs, in early 2012. In that partnership, Andreani implements and develops quantitative models and finds investors, and the family office seeds the new programs. He supplied his models to several single manager hedge funds during his more than 10 years of experience in research and development of quantitative trading models.

Andreani announced in January this year that he would be launching a multi strategy quant fund by the middle of the year. The new fund would run a long/short equity program on proprietary synthetic European Supersector indices, along with a CTA.

We now know that he will start trading his new systematic and quantitative long/short equity sector program, the COPS Program, from June 3rd. And he will make use of Interactive Brokers LLC.

He explained to Opalesque: "In order to perform our long/short equity program for efficient management, the Program may use the 600 stocks of the DJ Stoxx 600 Index as the investment universe, screened and designed by the COPS, a 'Composite Performance Measure......................
