On March 30, at the NYSE, financial professionals and influencers will gather for the inaugural TedxWallStreet. The event is an independently organized TED event focused on "Redefining Success," within the Wall Street community and beyond. Operating within the TED tradition, Tedx events bring together compelling speakers and influential audience members through an application process focused on outcomes.
"TEDxWallStreet brings the TED ethos to the world of finance," said Ende. "We hope it will be a mind-opening, inspiring experience filled with transformative solutions that address todays unprecedented global challenges," said Jonathan Ende the Founder and Organizer of TEDxWallStreet.
Stephanie Mehta, executive editor at FORTUNE, will serve as the events host. Talks will cover a broad range of topics that are designed to foster ideas around how to rethink the areas of finance and economics that created the crisis, avoid them, and also make the world a better place. "The basic modus operandi of Wall Street almost brought down global capitalism. Now is the time for a fundamental rethink," said Don Tapscott, bestselling author and speaker at the event.
