Agricultural investments look promising over coming season

The prospects in agriculture are bullish this coming season as the excellent level of humidity is expected to provide strong yields, said British Virgin Islands-based Lumix Capital Management Ltd., manager of Lumix AgroDirect Fund an agriculture-focused commodities hedge fund. AgroDirect said they expect to reach their target returns this year.

LumixAgro made the positive forecast in the last quarter of the year as it ended July almost flat at +0.09% and ended its fiscal year 2010/2011 (ending 30 June 2011) with a strong +10.17% returns.

The fund said in its monthly report to investors, "As of the end of July we have already moved forward in the allocation of a significant portion of our assets under management. For the new season we have decided to focus on strengthening our relationships with our current partners and are not incorporating any new partners for the season.
