Unleashing the full potential of emerging Europe requires fundamental research, according to Baltimore-based global investment management organization, T. Rowe Price . But more importantly, the firm's research has concluded that expanding the opportunity in emerging Europe further enhances the region's potential for alpha generation.
Allocations into emerging markets have always been too focused on Asia and Latin America because those regions have burgeoning ranks of middle-class consumers, the report says. By comparison, emerging Europe has attracted little attention despite outperforming each of the emerging market regions.
These were the same findings released by T. Rowe Price in its previous study in March, when the firm said that investors are looking in the wrong direction for the emerging markets growth story (See Opalesque Exclusive: here).
