Select A.M. and Profile Financial Services form partnership to launch two new customized portfolios

Sydney-based wealth management and strategic financial advisory firm Profile Financial Services has formed a joint venture with Select Asset Management to launch two new customized multi-manager and multi-asset class portfolios in March this year. The portfolios will be marketed under the Profile brand exclusively to its clients.

In a statement, Select said the Profile Preservation and Accumulation Portfolio will focus on an “objectives-based investing” approach. The two portfolios will focus on matching client cashflow and accumulation goals with specific purpose-built investment portfolios that are managed to deliver on these client objectives within specified timeframes. The firm explained that this approach “moves away from strategic asset allocation to a more flexible and absolute return focus, implemented through relatively unconstrained diversified multi manager portfolios.”

Under the terms of the agreement, Profile would act as the investment manager for the portfolios, with Select engaged to provide investment consulting and responsible entity services, in a collaborative method.
