Ed Robertiello to head re-establishment of hedge fund business at Russell Investments

Ed Robertiello announced that he has accepted a position with Russell Investments to head up the firm’s hedge fund investing business in New York.

In a statement e-mailed to Opalesque, Robertiello said he would be responsible for re-establishing the hedge fund activity within the firm’s Alternative Investments initiative.

“I will be building a team of investment professionals and establishing an investment process. My team will be responsible for commingled product as well as customized solutions and advisory services related to hedge fund investing,” he added.

Robertiello was rumored to be discussing leaving Credit Suisse in February this year, where he had held the position of managing director and head of fund of hedge funds in the Americas. According to LinkedIn, he left the next month, after four years with the bank.

Prior to Credit Suisse, Robertiello worked at Asset Alliance as senior managing director and at Blackstone as managing director. He obtained an MBA in Finance at the Fairleigh Dickinson University. - K. Manalo, B. Gravrand.
