MFA adds Boston Hedge Fund Group to list of partnership organizations

The Managed Futures Association (MFA) continues to strengthen its ties to the hedge fund community. Opalesque has learned that the MFA has added its fifth hedge fund industry association partnership this year, this time aligning with the Boston Hedge Fund Group.

Starting in January 2010 the MFA has announced a string of partnerships through its new Affiliate Program. The partnerships have included industry groups the Texas Hedge Fund Association, the Connecticut Hedge Fund Association, the South Florida Hedge Fund Association, and the New York Hedge Fund Roundtable.

With the possibilities of both domestic and international financial industry regulation bearing down on hedge funds, creating a national framework that reaches down to the grassroots level of these hedge fund center associations is vitally important. The MFA's affiliation program looks to provide "its members with a national sounding board for their issues and an expanded opportunity to network."
