Och-Ziff's flagship fund up +1.14% in March, Europe and Asia Master funds results soar +5.23% and +4.01%

Och-Ziff Capital Management's flagship fund, the OZ Master Fund performed +1.14% in March (+2.65% YTD), according to the firm's April 5th filing . But that result was dwarfed by the performance of the firm's Europe and Asia Master funds, which returned +5.23% and +4.01% in March. Och-Ziff's Global Special Investments was also up +0.93% in March. All four funds stayed in the positive territory in the first quarter of 2010.

Daniel Och, chairman and CEO of Och-Ziff believes that the capital inflow cycle for the hedge fund industry has begun, and AUM will grow further over time. "Institutional investors remain extremely focused on manager selection, and we remain confident that our track record, infrastructure and demonstrated alignment of interests with our fund investors will continue to differentiate us in the marketplace," he said.

"The firm is receiving interest from large institutions, including pension funds and sovereign-wealth funds. These entities tend to invest larger amounts of money, and while they take longer to commit, they usually stick around more than other investors," Och ......................
