Highlight on energy (6) – FoHFs Terra Verde: large institutional investors are pushing real change in renewables

One of the biggest hurdles for the renewable energy space is the perception that the financial crisis has brought progress to a standstill. But the reality is that necessity is the mother of invention, and we are about to hit the wall where the reality is - our current sources for energy are limiting our ability to grow and innovate. This hard fact is becoming clear and both private companies and governments are taking action.

Getting the information on these changes, and the opportunities they present, to investors and potential investors within this space is one of the reasons why Richard Bookbinder, Managing Member of New York-based Bookbinder Capital Management and Terra Verde Capital Partners has started an information blog.

“Renewable energy is a developing sector and as such there are themes within it that continue to change,” Bookbinder told Opalesque. “Legislation and private investments may not be front page news, but it is happening.”
