Polar Capital expands sales team to support growth of UK business

London-based Polar Capital Holdings plc, the specialist asset management group, today announces the appointment of John Regnier-Wilson, formerly a senior sales manager at Martin Currie and Axa Framlington, to the Group’s UK sales team. The appointment comes as Polar Capital looks to expand its UK business.

John joins Polar Capital from Martin Currie on 1st February 2010 and will be responsible for developing the distribution of Polar Capital’s fund range in the UK, focusing primarily on wealth managers and stockbrokers. Working closely with Iain Evans, Head of UK Sales, John will primarily be supporting Polar Capital’s UCITS fund range, including the UK Absolute Return Fund, and also their award winning investment trust, the Polar Capital Technology Trust.

Prior to Martin Currie, John spent 15 years at Axa Framlington where he successfully raised the profile of the company developing it into one of the most highly regarded investment companies among the stockbroker and wealth management community. During this time, he also created a London based quasi-institutional sales business for Axa Framlington with AUM of approximately £1 billion, and annual sales of £380m (2007).
