As a new economic order takes a more distinct shape as to what to expect in the Asia-Pacific, analysts and experts from J.P. Morgan Asset Management and Pimco Europe Ltd. have simple, yet direct reminders for investors and investment managers preparing to take advantage of opportunities in 2010 and the near future.
Asia-Pacific economies, pillars of a new investment paradigm
1. Mutli-strategy investment in infrastructure.
For those who have not taken advantage of the infrastructure investment opportunities in emerging economies of Asia, financial experts at J.P. Morgan Asset Management said that it is not yet too late to do so, at least in the first half of 2010.
In its study, "Pillars of a New Paradigm: Emerging Asia Infrastructure," infrastructure in emerging Asia represents a vehicle for investors to access a rich and interdependent multi-strategic variety of theme-oriented investments and returns.
Infrastructure plays a critical role in development process. However, to a country like China, kilometers of roads and bridges connecting China's peripheral provinces and states can trigger urbanization and migration trends and thus, also increasing China's net commodity importer demands.
