For a long time, I wasn't sure either! I was more a late starter in the classic social media, but at the same time, I found this isn't a disadvantage either. Here is my story...

The Opalesque readers who know me a bit better are aware that before entering the world of finance in 1998, I had been working as an IT professional and consultant for ten years. Without knowing, my decision back in 1987 to get involved professionally with IT turned out to immensely advantageous for my future career and path of life.

Early Adapter - but still late

At that time, I was an early adapter. I was a specialist for IBM mainframe (super-) computers, and one of the first in my professional and social circle who had a personal computer, a cell phone, who learned to program HTML (the "language" of the internet) and used email.
