Former Morgan Stanley team sets up company under umbrella of Dutch global macro fund Worldview, to focus on strategic asset allocation for institutional clients

The Global Portfolio Solutions team has left Morgan Stanley Investment Management and set up a new company linked to Worldview, a global macro fund based in the Netherlands. They will focus on Strategic Asset Allocation and Portfolio Solutions for institutional clients.

The team consists of Epco van der Lende (formerly MD at MSIM), Petr Kocourek (Executive Director) and Jan Baars (Executive Director), who spent 13, 12 and 10 years respectively at MSIM. The team has developed world-leading quantitative models in the fields of Asset Liability Management, Strategic Asset Allocation, Portfolio Management and Risk Budgeting.

The former Morgan Stanley team has been at the forefront of providing strategic advice to institutional clients around the world. They have also pioneered the field of diversified alternatives strategies, which have found great resonance in the UK institutional market. In addition, they have developed and managed liability-driven asset allocation glide paths for target date funds in the US. In addition, the team has advised many large institutional investors on almost every continent on their long-term asset allocation and portfolio construction.

In a new company under the Worldview umbrella, the team will be continuing with the provision of the same strategic services and solutions. Based in the Netherlands, the new team at Worldview will be active globally. The target client base will be institutional investors, ranging from pension funds ......................
