Opalesque Exclusive: Jeffrey Heisler joins Venus Capital Management as Chief Risk Officer From the Opalesque Team: Venus Capital Management, Inc., an investment management company specializing in emerging markets investments, announced today that Jeffrey Heisler has joined as Chief Risk Officer.

"Risk averse investors remain Venus' focus; producing strong risk-adjusted returns in emerging markets while providing liquidity, as shown in 2008 when we didn't impose gates." said Vik Mehrotra, CEO of Venus Capital. "Jeff's addition provides us with the additional depth and expertise to continue to offer transparency, provide proven risk management and to improve our operations and processes."

Jeff has experience with quantitative strategies and methods both as a practitioner and academic. Most recently at Gottex Fund Management, he was involved in all aspects of the investment process and was deeply involved in the development and implementation of Gottex's risk management and reporting systems.

Venus Capital Management, Inc. was founded in 1994. The company was registered with the Securities & Exchange Commission in the United States as a Registered Investment Advisory company in 2000.  From inception and until today, the firm manages several strategies for its institutional investors, like pension funds, endowments, fund of funds and family offices.
