Opalesque Exclusive: Singapore based Riley Paterson Investment Management hires Andrea Sorani as COO From the Opalesque Team: Riley Paterson Investment Management Pte. Ltd. has hired Mr. Andrea Sorani as Chief Operating Officer.

Mr. Sorani brings with him nearly 14 years of experience in leading buy and sell-side financial firms. Most recently Sorani was Head of Operations and IT for Tokyo-based Japan Advisory LLC, the investment advisor to the Whitney Funds, a multi-billion dollar group of Japan and Asia focused hedge funds and managed accounts.

Patrick Ferguson, in his capacity as Fund Controller, will continue to have responsibility for day to day operations work on the Riley Paterson Asian Opportunities fund as well as senior management responsibilities for the Riley Paterson Investment Management Pte Ltd.

Singapore based Riley Paterson Investment Management Pte Ltd was founded in May 2007 by Daren Riley and Stewart Paterson. The founders' believe that Asia has the strongest secular growth outlook in the world but also some of the largest cyclical swings in the ratings of its equity markets. These beliefs form the cornerstone of their investment product which is designed to benefit from the large re-ratings and de-ratings of Asian equities that occur with monetary and real economic cycles while providing exposure to the most exciting structural themes in the region.
