Opalesque Exclusive: Emerging distressed fund Simran Capital announces expansion, hires two senior portfolio managers

Simran Capital Management, a "Pre-Event Driven" Activist investment manager focusing on stressed and distressed credit markets, is continuing to grow and expand to take advantage of a volatility in debt security prices.

Since the opportunity to proactively and profitably interact with company managements to implement win-win restructurings has never been greater, Simran is adding two key new hires intended to expand its existing non-investment grade fixed income portfolio management expertise. Simran announced that two Senior Portfolio Managers, Steve Cooke and Shawn Groves, have joined the firm and will assume portfolio management responsibilities with regards to the firm's existing and new funds.

With these hires, Simran will also be expanding its presence by opening an office in Dallas, Texas, to supplement its existing base in Chicago, Illinois. Corporate website: Source
