From the Opalesque team: Qbasis Futures fund returned 14.38% (est.) in August, 54.44% YTD. The fund is run by Systrade Asset Management AG, based in Liechtenstein.

Qbasis Futures Fund belongs to the product category Managed Futures Global Hedge contains the following two strategies:

- Managed Futures Global (GS): Uses various strategies of renowned system development companies from Europe, Asia and the US; Trades all liquid futures markets; Short/medium/long term trend following strategies; Early recognition of trend breaks through artificial neural networks.

- Managed Futures Hedge (VBS): Developed primarily for institutional investors with the goal to hedge their stocks and bonds portfolios; Mostly counter-trend components, perfect admixture for trend following systems because of low correlation; Active intraday trading.

Both strategies have been available as managed accounts since 2006.

“Our recent profits are mainly achieved by our long term trend following strategy which is the most important component of our fund,” explained head of QBasis Invest, Florian Wagner, in an email communication to Opalesque. “This strategy is able to recognise trends very early and therefore can make profits even if trends in futures markets are quite short.
