Opalesque Exclusive: Triple A Partners looking to close 2 or 3 deals in next 6 months and raise more capital, `not all Asia L/S equity funds are run by Beta Monkeys` Benedicte Gravrand, Opalesque Geneva: Our very latest roundtable took place in Hong Kong and the report has just been made available to all Opalesque readers (press release and links to scripts).

One of the things we learned is that Triple A Partners, the Hong-Kong-based seeding house, has a few projects up its sleeve. Paul Smith, partner at Triple A, presented the company thus: “We do three things - we buy equity stakes in alternate asset management businesses. We also seed the first product of those businesses and help promote theses funds through our global distribution unit.”

And he went on to say “We are a new business and have been going just over a year. We have $100 million under management so far, and we have done two seed deals to date and are looking to do another two to three within the next six months and then hopefully go out and raise some more seed capital for the next seeding round.”
