Opalesque Exclusive: Cairn succeeds Sailfish as collateral manager for White Marlin CDO Cairn Financial Products Limited (“Cairn”) has become the successor collateral manager for White Marlin CDO 2007-1, Ltd., a $1.2 billion investment grade corporate CDO. Sailfish Structured Investment Management (G4), LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Sailfish Capital Partners LLC, resigned as portfolio manager and Cairn has assumed the rights and responsibilities under the portfolio management agreement with effect from 11 April 2008.

Cairn is a London based credit asset manager with approximately $10 billion of assets under management across ABS, European leveraged loans and investment grade corporate credit. Website: Source

Threadneedle launches Italian business with Milan office From Thomson IM: Threadneedle Investments said on Tuesday it has opened an office in Milan from which it will look to build a business in Italy led by Alessandro Aspesi. Threadneedle's Italian business will initially employ a team of four, targeting fund of funds, private banks, family offices, insurance companies and pension funds.

The firm said it intends to offer a range of funds to investors including high alpha equity portfolios, absolute return funds, and alternative investment solutions such as property and single strategy hedge funds... Full article: ......................
