Europe: Subdued mood for Swiss funds at the end of 2007 after a successful start, alternatives assets rise by 23.6% to CHF18.4bln ($16.76bln),

In the first six months of 2007, the volume of assets placed in in the investment funds covered by the statistics hit one record high after another. In the second half of the year, however, withdrawals by investors and lower share prices saw reductions in the assets of bond funds and equity funds in particular, and thus also for the total volume placed publicly in funds in . By the end of 2007, this total stood at CHF 600.5 billion, still CHF 7 billion or 1.2% up for the year as a whole. Money market funds staged a veritable comeback….
