Opalesque Exclusive: Forum Asset Management launches new Asset Based Lending Fund and announces hire of Gordon Kingsley as Managing Director New York based emerging markets specialist hedge fund Forum Asset Management, LLC launched the Forum Asset Based Investments Fund on October 1, 2007 with $20 million in new assets and significant new commitments in the pipeline. The fund expands on Forum’s existing asset-based lending platform which focuses on middle market companies in the infrastructure development, commercial re-factoring, and trade and consumer finance sectors in Latin America.

Mr. Kingsley brings over 15 years of experience in emerging markets structured finance to Forum’s asset based lending team. Prior to joining Forum, Mr. Kingsley spent 4 years with Standard Bank Group as Head of Distribution for the Americas and Head of Primary Markets. Mr. Kingsley’s structured finance transactions have been recognized by IFR and Latin Finance. He began his career in 1987 as a lawyer with Davis, Polk & Wardwell where he practiced international securities and corporate law.

Forum Asset Management is an investment manager specializing in the emerging markets. Forum manages 3 other funds and managed accounts focusing on long/short credit, long/short equity, and agricultural commodity trading.
