New alternative beta fund so far delivers what it promised, how it is done: Three steps to replicate 500 managers

From Benedicte Gravrand, Geneva: For the investor who is looking for something different, but who is reluctant to pay up the hedge fund fees, there is always an alternative to the now classic alternative investment vehicle. Here is a look at a liquid, transparent type of investing; alternative beta.

Blue White Alternative Investments Ltd (BWAI) is an independent alternative management company focusing on pioneering innovative investment products, with offices in London and in Helsinki, Finland. The company believes that the long-only and the alternative investment approaches are now converging. One of the partners, Kaj Rönnlund, talked to Opalesque about the recently launched Blue White Alternative Beta Fund and how it is done.
