Opalesque Exclusive: Eminent scientist Dr. Wolf Kohn joins SEQA Capital Advisors as Head of Research for High Speed Trading
SEQA Capital Advisors, LP, a New York based investment management firm, today announced that Wolf Kohn has joined the firm as Head of Research for High Speed Trading. Dr Kohn brings with him Yanfang Shen, a noted applied mathematician, who has worked with Dr Kohn for several years.
In this new role, Dr Wolf Kohn will work closely with the firm’s founder and Portfolio Manager, Andrew F. Van Hise, to develop trading strategies that utilize high-speed forecasting technology developed by Wolf Kohn. Dr Kohn joining SEQA marks the culmination of an informal collaboration between SEQA and Dr Kohn over the past three years.

Dr Wolf Kohn previously founded Clearsight Systems, a business set up to explore products based on the Hybrid Systems technology he co-created with Anil Nerode of Cornell University. While at Clearsight Wolf began to apply his techniques to high-speed trading applications. He has a history of technical achievements and awards with organizations including General Motors, Lockheed Corporation, NASA Johnson Space Center, and Boeing Computer Services.
