London FoFs continues winning streak, up 6.59% in October to 45.48% YTD and rolling annual return 57.94%, to reduce small cap

According to an investor communication obtained by Opalesque, the Culross hedge FoF Class H gained 6.59% in October bringing the YTD return to 45.48% and the rolling annual return to 57.94%.

Culross is managed by the investment veterans Nigel Blanshard and Christopher Keen. The company was featured in an Opalesque Exclusive here. After that, Culross won an award by Hedge Funds Review as the 'Best performing diversified Fund of Hedge Funds over 1 year on a risk/return basis'.

In its communication, Culross said that the short credit theme made the largest contribution to the October result, adding that "dislocation insurance did not pay out in October, with one manager profitable and one recording a small loss. On the flip side of this, the managers pursuing the Asia consumer power theme had an excellent month. So did the India and South America specialists, with one of the India managers producing the Funds highest nominal return for the month.

Culross further commented they will reduce the exposure of the portfolio to small cap stocks: "In an environment where liquidity is constrained and US growth likely to decline, we expect market conditions to be unhelpful to managers in this space, however skille......................
