Finisterre Capital adds to special situations and emerging market teams, Scottwood hires ex-Lehman analyst

Finisterre Capital adds to special situations and emerging market teams Finisterre Capital LLP today announces that it has hired George Liberatore and Christopher Watson. Mr Liberatore, who is joining the Special Situations team, will be based in the Connecticut office and his primary responsibility will be sourcing and structuring transactions in Latin America. He rejoins two founding Partners of Finisterre, Frode Fosse-Skiftesvik and Tom Priday, with whom he worked at DePfa Investment Bank from 1998 to 2002.

Mr Watson, who is joining the Finisterre team based in London, will focus on the analysis of Companies in Emerging Market countries. He joins from Citigroup, where he worked as a senior analyst in the Global Special Situations group.

George is exceptionally qualified for sourcing and structuring transactions in the Special Situations space in Latin America and Christopher’s skills and experience will significantly strengthen Finisterre’s capabilities in the rapidly growing Emerging Market corporate credit markets”

The new hires follow on from the recent announcement by Finisterre Capital LLP of their strategic relationship with XL Capital Ltd (NYSE: XL), whereby an affiliate of XL acquired a minority stake in Finisterre. In conjunction with this transaction, XL made sizable capital allocations across all of Finisterre’s product......................
