Opalesque Exclusive: UFG hires Vadim Ogneshchikov as a senior portfolio manager Moscow based UFG Asset Management has added Vadim Ogneshchikov as a senior portfolio manager. He has over 10 years of experience in managing investment portfolios focused on Russian securities. Prior to joining the firm Mr. Ogneshchikov worked as a Fund manager for Evli Greater Russia Fund belonging to Evli Group, a leading Nordic investment bank. During 1997 – 2004 Vadim was a portfolio manager of Hansa Russian Equity Fund a division of Hansabank group, the Baltics’ largest universal bank.

UFG runs the UFG Russia Debt Fund (down -0.33% in August, 6.84 YTD), the UFG Russia Select fund (down -6.1% in August, 1.9% YTD ) and the UFG Russia Alternative Fund (down  -3.2%, 14.5% YTD). Corporate website: Source

Eclectica hires James Du Boulay as marketing executive Eclectica Asset Management today announced the appointment of James Du Boulay to the position of Sales & Marketing Executive. James will focus on the development of Eclectica’s hedge and authorised investment funds (OEICS), the CF Eclectica European Fund, CF Eclectica Continental European Fund and the CF Eclectica Agriculture Fund.

James joins from BDT Invest Plc where for four years he was responsible for growing their Long only, Long only Absolute Return and Long Short products. Prior to that he was at ABN Amro for six years.
