Opalesque Exclusive: Wine Investment Fund yields over 2% per month on average in all tranches since 2003 launch The Wine Investment Fund continues to go from strength to strength with the portfolio valuations of each of the Tranches up well over 2% per month on average since launch: 2003 Tranche: 127% 2004 Tranche: 129% 2005(1) Tranche: 88% 2005(2) Tranche: 67% 2006(1) Tranche: 40% 2006(3) Tranche: 14% 2006(4) Tranche: 17%

Subscriptions are now being collected for the Fund’s 2007(2)Tranche which closes on 31st July 2007. The fund says it is attracting increasing interest from both private and institutional investors and “the message seems clear that wine as an asset class for serious investors is here to stay.”

Wine becomes asset class as more HNI`s ticket size reaches GBP1m From the Telegraph: ...Stephen Decani, the head of business development at Arch Financial Products, a fund manager that specialises in alternative investments, said that the frenzy for fine wine would force up the price of more mundane wine.

"As more people come to recognise the value of wine as an investment, it is inevitable that more types of wine will be bought and traded in this way, rather than for drinking," he said.
