Opalesque Exclusive: Last Atlantis launches offshore fund With growing interest in their diversified investment strategies from investors residing outside the US, Last Atlantis Capital Management, LLC (St. Thomas, USVI) has launched an offshore version of their Last Atlantis Partners, LLC onshore fund. The fund, Last Atlantis Partners SPC Ltd., will be the offshore feeder fund in a master-feeder structure. Last Atlantis Partners Master Fund SPC, Ltd., a segregated portfolio company constituted in the British Virgin Islands, will serve as the master fund.

Similar to the Delaware series LLC structure of the onshore offering, the offshore segregated portfolio company (or SPC) structure allows for individually managed investment strategies to be established as “segregated portfolios” within a single fund without cross-liability between the portfolios. Investors can choose to invest in a portfolio representing a single strategy or multiple portfolios representing a number of strategies with different investment managers. Benefits include the ability to obtain multi-strategy diversification within a single fund, greater flexibility in introducing new strategies and in constructing tailored investment vehicles, and lower administration costs. Clients can work with Last Atlantis in creating investment allocations across several segregated portfolios.
