Greenwich Roundtable gets global traction

Steve McMenamin, founder of the Greenwich Roundtable, confirmed to Opalesque that Douglas Moffitt, who was hired on February 1st after a two month search as the first full-time president, and the Roundtable have parted “very amicably”. “Unfortunately, it did not work out for both sides”, said McMenamin. He explained the place to fill at the Roundtable, a high profile, non-profit organisation dedicated to investor education in alternative investments, would be a hard one to fill. “Maybe we are asking too much and should split the responsibilities into two jobs. On the one hand, we are looking for a business manager, on the other hand a grey haired industry veteran who has the gravitas and the seasoning to think ahead, maintain our standards and perpetuate the mission, which is to provide cutting edge investor education.”

Possible board changes Coming back to the vacant position - a full time leader - Steve McMenamin said the Roundtable had by far outgrown his expectations, and also the demands placed on him, so he hopes to soon find the right person (please feel free to contact Fred Baker email to: Fred@greenwichroundtable.org for suggestions or applications). When asked “how can a placement agent run the Greenwich Roundtable” (McMenamin runs Indian Harbor LLC, an investor relations and marketing firm), he said the solution has been easy, namely not to mix business with the Roundtable, even if it means turning......................
