Investcorp to provide acceleration capital to hedge fund Steamboat Capital

Alternative investments firm Investcorp has entered into a strategic partnership with long-short investment firm Steamboat Capital Partners through its Hedge Funds Partnerships platform. Under the deal, Investcorp would provide additional capital to Steamboat to accelerate growth and raise assets under management, which are approximately $290m.

Investcorp Alternative Investment Solutions Head and Chief Investment Officer Lionel Erdely commented, "Steamboat will be an excellent addition to our Hedge Funds Partnerships platform as they exhibit key differentiators through their unique investment style and philosophy. We look forward to working together to achieve the firm's goals and ultimately deliver results to our clients."

Steamboat Capital Founder, Founder, Managing Partner and Portfolio Manager Parsa Kiai said the partnership with Investcorp would further push the company's growth.

He stated, "We are thrilled to be partnering with Investcorp who has a long and successful track record in working with emerging managers. Their strategic advice and experience will assist us in meeting our goals as we embark on our next phase as an investment firm."
