Brummer & Partners names Ola Paulsson new CEO

The Swedish hedge fund company Brummer & Partners has named a new CEO, writes DI.se. On Thursday Ola Paulsson took over after Klaus Jäntti who chose to leave his positions at his own request. Klaus Jäntti has been CEO of Brummer & Partners since 1999.

Ola Paulsson has worked in Brummer & Partners since 2004 and comes from the role of operating director of the hedge fund company's umbrella fund Brummer Multi-Strategy, BMS.

At the same time, Mikael Spångberg has been appointed new CEO of BMS and, together with Patrik Brummer becomes the trustee of the fund. Since 2012, Mikael Spångberg Deputy CEO at Nektar since 2013.

"Ola and Michael complement each other in an excellent way. Both have long experience and deep knowledge of our business, both strategically and operationally. Ola has a short start-up because he knows the group maybe better than anyone else. Mikael has a very relevant background for the role of CEO of BMS. In their respective roles, they have good prospects to successfully lead and develop the group forward," said Patrik Brummer, Chairman of Brummer & Partners, in a commentary on the company's website.
