Hedge funds aggressively buying 2 year treasuries

Bailey McCann, Opalesque New York: Hedge funds are aggressively buying two year treasuries according to the latest data from BofA Merrill Lynch Global Research. In the report, hedge fund analyst Mary Ann Bartels notes that funds more than tripled their positions in two year notes to $10bn from just over $2bn last week. Funds covered their shorts in 10 year treasuries and added to shorts in 30 year treasuries.
