Dr. Vinay Nair, a financial academic and founder of an asset management company, has his very own progressive theory about social responsible investing.

After finishing his PhD in finance in the U.S., Dr. Vinay Nair taught at the Wharton School for a number of years. Now however, he is a "recovering academic", that is he only teaches part-time at Columbia Business School and occasionally at the Indian School of Business. He also had a stint as Research Director and Portfolio Manager at Old Lane Partners (a hedge fund that was launched in 2006 and closed by Vikram Pandit – then head of Citigroup - in 2008). Nair then founded his own investment company in October 2008, called Ada Investments, which is head-quartered in New York and which offers traditional and alternative systematic public equity strategies in developed and emerging markets. Greg Despoelberch went to interview him for Opalesque TV.
