Private Equity Strategies

Editorial

Monday, September 23, 2013

Welcome to the September issue of Private Equity Strategies. This month we are focused on the fourth quarter and how current trends may shape the industry in 2014. Insider trends opens the issue with an in-depth discussion on fundraising and regional opportunities according to Antoine Drean, founder of Triago and Palico two private equity advisory companies.

Following this theme we’ll look at recent data from SEI on the state of private equity overall . SEI’s annual survey shows that both investors and GPs will need to change their expectations when it comes to finding investment opportunities that generate returns going forward.

Regs Watch will take us through some other notable regulation changes.

In our Dealmakers Q&A we‘ll talk to Bregal Sagemount about a recent health IT transaction and look at the rapid growth in that sector.

Tools of The Trade returns this month with the launch of Topquartile.com a new service to track private equity deals and investor data in a secure way.

Finally, as always, Quick Hits highlights new transactions and events to be aware of. Thanks again for your on-going feedback and tips, please keep them coming.

Best,

Bailey McCann
