Privium Fund Management brings on Hemavathi for investment services in Asia

Friday, October 11, 2019
Opalesque Industry Update - Privium Fund Management has hired Vanessa Hemavathi as Head of Investments Services for Asia.

She joins from Inflection Point Intelligence, where she spearheaded global growth of the Henley Executive Hedge Fund Program. At Privium, she will be pivotal to developing business in the APAC region. The Singaporean native will be based in Hong Kong, her home since July 2015.

"The alternative investments industry is developing constantly, and this is a perfect opportunity to bring my knowledge into practice. I am very excited to be a part of a forward-thinking global organization that sees the tremendous potential in Asia," Hemavathi said.

Established in 2008, Privium Fund Management is an international company with representation in major financial centres. Privium offers a range of regulatory hosting solutions as a fund management company (AIFM & UCITS) for alternative and traditional asset classes across different jurisdictions.

"Vanessa's local knowledge is a perfect addition to our Asian growth strategy. As a part of a worldwide infrastructure provider, Hong Kong is and continues to be a major driver in our global offering. Asia's financial sector growth will continue to be strong in the coming decade. Having an infrastructure for innovative portfolio teams is important for the asset management industry to grow as well." said Privium CEO Clayton Heijman.

Hemavathi has a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences from the National University of Singapore and embarked on a diverse career, before entering fund management. Prior to Henley, she headed commercial strategy for Dow Jones and The Wall Street Journal out of Hong Kong.
