Alder Capital hires Brian Flanagan to expand client relations

Thursday, August 31, 2017
Opalesque Industry Update - Alder Capital DAC, the Dublin-based, systematic investment manager announced the appointment of Brian Flanagan to the role of Senior Business Development Manager. In the role, Brian will be working through both the Dublin and London offices to manage existing client relationships and promote the Alder alternative investment approach to both domestic and international investors. Brian will report to John Parkin, Alder's Head of Product Management.

Brian's addition to the team reflects Alder's continued investment in the business and builds upon the recent expansion following the opening of the London office earlier this year.

Brian joins Alder following 15 years with Friends First Life Assurance DAC Dublin, the most recent 10 years as the Investment Sales Manager, developing the fund proposition and growing funds under management. Brian started his career in Japan, initially working for three years as a currency systems analyst with The Fuji Bank Ltd, Tokyo and then five years as a senior currency options broker with the Tullett and Tokyo Group. Brian holds a Batchelor of Commerce degree from University College Dublin and is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA).

Mark Caslin, Chief Executive Officer of Alder commented: "I am delighted to welcome Brian to the Alder team. Brian's knowledge of how currencies and alternatives can lower risk and help improve portfolios will be of great benefit to our clients and a wider audience of pension funds as we continue to inform the market of our unique offering as a leading systematic fund manager".
