Hospital receivables - debt portfolios tend to be priced at a premium in the secondary market.
They tend to be higher up on an individual’s debt repayment pyramid (usually after - mortgage, food) - owing to the regional nature of hospitals - i.e. consumer debt can be paid with another credit card or by visiting a different store; another doctor can be visited; but debtors are careful with the hospital payments - because they’ll likely need to go back for treatment
