Greenwich Global Hedge Fund Index up 3.20% in September (+4.9% YTD), 84% of funds post gains

Opalesque Industry Update - Hedge funds as measured by the Greenwich Global Hedge Fund Index (“GGHFI”) moved forward in September to post their strongest returns thus far in 2010. All major Greenwich hedge fund strategy groups advanced during the month as a result of strong moves in both equity and credit markets. The GGHFI gained 3.20% compared to global equity returns in the S&P 500 Total Return (+8.92%), MSCI World Equity (+9.11%), and FTSE 100 (6.19%) equity indices. 84% of constituent funds in the GGHFI ended the month with gain...Full performance table: Source
