QVT Financial veterans target $100m for Q3 launch
From HFMweek.com: Two former QVT Financial principals, who were founder members when the activist hedge fund span out of Deutsche Bank’s prop desk in 2004, are prepping a new event driven fund planned to launch in Q3 this year, HFMWeek has learned. Lees Hill Capital Management, spearheaded by Kevin McGoey and Yi Cen, is opening for business in New York and targeting a launch size in excess of $100m, according to a well-placed source.
However, the uncertainty caused by Greece and on-going volatility in global markets means the fund is launching later than planned, with several allocations yet to be finalized as investors wait for circumstances to calm before committing capital… Full article: Source
