French long-only manager Aliénor wants to try its hand at alternatives

Benedicte Gravrand, Opalesque Geneva: Aliénor Capital, an independent fund manager based in Bordeaux and regulated by the AMF, the French financial watchdog, has decided to venture in the world of hedge funds.

It currently runs €250m ($330m) in five long-only funds and several mandates that invest in stocks, bonds and indices globally.

According to the French news site L’Agefi, Arnaud Raimon, Aliénor’s founder recently told reporters that he wishes to start the firm’s redirection towards he......................
