Hedge fund industry recovers 92% of financial crisis losses, cautious optimism takes hold - Credit Suisse

The global financial crisis hit hedge funds hard during 2008, but as the industry leads the charge into the recovery and 92% of losses incurred during the downturn have been recouped, these vehicles have perhaps proven they deserve a place within a larger portfolio.

We are cautiously optimistic the industry is recovering, Oliver Schupp, President of the Credit Suisse/Tremont (CS/T) Index said during a meeting with reporters on Thursday.
