Martin Skancke looks as though he is growing a beard in an attempt to look older, but his youthful looks are deceiving. Approaching his half-decade, Skancke has 20 years’ experience setting up and running sovereign wealth funds and is spearheading a campaign to make sustainable investment an indispensable part of asset management, as chair of the Principles for Responsible Investment, the UN-backed group of 1,380 investors. His involvement with sovereign wealth funds started when he was head of the section for monetary policy and public finances at the Norwegian Ministry of Finance.
