Fortress Gold Group announces new slate of alternative IRAs

Thursday, October 20, 2016
Opalesque Industry Update - Fortress Gold Group, the financial services provider specializing in alternative retirement solutions, has announced the launch of a new IRA and 401(k) option for investors looking to protect themselves against market turmoil.

In addition to the company’s existing traditional and LLC specialty services for gold and other precious metals, new and existing Fortress Gold Group clients can now diversify their retirement investments in non-traditional assets including bitcoins.

The company’s long-term view sees a portfolio of alternative assets as fundamental to the future of successful investing. Unlike traditional stocks, bonds or mutual funds, the alternative portfolio is diversified with non-dollar or paper denominated assets.

“The investment world is dramatically shifting, especially at the macro level,” states Chris Kline, Chief Operations Officer at Fortress Gold Group. “Global contractions, currency wars, negative interest rates—these are all things the retirement investor didn’t have to worry about 10 to 15 years ago. Combine this with domestic turmoil and huge amounts of sovereign and private debt, and the advantage grows for the new alternative investor.”

Physical gold is historically seen as a store of value and protectionary measure against inflation. Fortress Gold Group now combines that safe haven with the utility and upside speculation of bitcoin.

“Gold is fundamental to a diversified portfolio, but it shouldn’t be the only asset in the mix,” says Ed Moy, Chief Strategist at Fortress Gold Group and Former Director of the United States Mint. “There are several promising, alternative asset opportunities out there for the well-informed investor, including bitcoin. I’m proud to work with a company that is among the first to offer them.”

Some of Fortress’ other recent accomplishments include attaining regulatory approval to create the first-ever IRA that stores actual bitcoins, creating turn-key Single Member LLCs that offer added flexibility and privacy compared to traditional depositories.

“We’re always striving to be on the cutting edge,” added Mr. Kline. “Our clients deserve to have the most sophisticated self-directed IRA options on the market. When someone decides to invest with Fortress Gold Group, they have maximum control over their money.”

Fortress Gold Group is a self-directed IRA firm pioneering the use of alternative investments like gold, silver, and bitcoin as a retirement strategy, offering a unique alternative for self-directed IRAs. With over a decade of experience and a team of experts at the helm, Fortress Gold Group provides an innovative way for investors to build their IRA or 401(k) and protect their retirement savings.
