Light Street Capital Management hires Passport's Nolan

Opalesque Industry Update - Light Street Capital Management has hired Bill Nolan as of Head of Business Development. Bill will be responsible for developing and expanding Light Street’s business presence and relationships with investors.

Bill brings to the role nearly 30 years of industry experience. Previously, he was head of marketing and investor relations at Passport Capital from 2008 to 2015, and held a similar role at Crosslink Capital from 1999 to 2007. Bill received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.

“All of us at Light Street are excited to have someone with Bill’s experience and business development success on our team,” said Glen Kacher, President and Portfolio Manager. “We are confident Bill will help us continue to deliver the highest level of service to our existing clients and to grow our presence with investors seeking best‐in‐class investment opportunities in the technology and media sectors.”

Bill commented, “I am delighted to join Light Street and look forward to helping build on the impressive accomplishments of Glen and his team.”

Commensurate with Bill’s arrival, Light Street will open an office in San Francisco, which will serve as a counterpart to its existing office in Palo Alto and reflects the increasing importance of San Francisco as an entrepreneurial and technology hub.
