IMDDA launches due diligence series

Thursday, May 19, 2016
Opalesque Industry Update - The Investment Management Due Diligence Association (IMDDA) announced today a series of programs to educate investors on operational and investment management due diligence. The programs have been created and development by academics and industry professionals to provide participants with knowledge and expertise needed to implement due diligence procedures at their firms.

“The process of completing thorough, accurate and ongoing investment management and operational due diligence is a difficult one,” said Andrew Borowiec, Executive Director of the IMDDA. “This series of programs is geared for the both novice and experienced investor and will provide both with the tools necessary to be more successful at conducting initial and ongoing due diligence.”

The IMDDA worked with academic and industry professionals to create and develop a core curriculum to allow participants to learn hands on the best practices and tools needed to create and develop successful due diligence programs. Upon the completion of the programs Participants will earn credits toward achieving the organizations’ Chartered Due Diligence Analyst designation.

“Our class program is broken up into two levels: a professional level and a master class level,” Boroweic said. “The professional level will help junior level employees and those new to the industry learn hands on how to execute due diligence processes while our master class level is for industry veterans who are looking to hone and develop skills that will allow them to be more successful in their current and future positions.”

The IMDDA's program will take place in August of 2016 in New York. The organization is planning to bring the series to Europe and Asia in the early part of 2017. To learn more about the educational series go to IMDDA.org. Registration is open to both members and non-members.
