Shamrock Capital, a Los Angeles-based investment firm with a rich history of investing in the media, entertainment, and communications sectors, raised a total of about $1.6 billion for two new private equity funds.

The firm spun off in 2010 from the family investment office of Roy E. Disney, a nephew of Walt Disney, said in a media release that after launching the
