Western Europe-focused private equity firm Oakley Capital has smashed the target of its fourth buyout fund, after raising €1.46bn ($1.64bn) for its final close.

"Following strong investor demand, the Fund closed above its target size of €1.2bn and is Oakley's largest fund to date," said a press release.
