Private funds data provider eVestment has created a new information alliance around private equity. The Private Markets Alliance is composed of 11 industry consultants advising more than $8 trillion.

"The goal of the alliance is to create a clearinghouse platform where investors can get the data they need on a fund during the pre-commitment process," exp
