Investcorp Absolute Return Investments and HC Technologies launch HC Capital Advisors

Investcorp and HC Technologies are partnering to launch a new quant firm - HC Capital Advisors. HC Technologies is a quantitative and algorithmic trading firm. HC Capital Advisors is a multi-manager platform that will give managers access to the proprietary tools created by HC Technologies to build strategies. Investcorp will provide access to its distribution network and experienced fund development staff.

The platform is designed to develop quant strategies that invest in a broader number of asset classes and that are available to a diverse investor base.

HC Capital Advisors will be part of Investcorp Absolute Return Investments' Hedge Funds Partnership platform which launched in 2004. Through this program, Investcorp works with select partners to provide initial investment capital and distribution capabilities to managers. To date, Investcorp has provided capital to over 20 managers.

"We look forward to providing clients with access to differentiated and uncorrelated macro systematic strategies that combine hard-to-access segments of the FX markets with global futures," said Lionel Erdely, Head and Chief Investment Officer of Absolute Return Investments for Investcorp.
