Paulson, Scaramucci to host Trump fund raiser

Despite his outspoken stance against fund managers, Donald Trump is attracting quite a few by his side.

Hedge fund manager John A. Paulson, who made his fortune during the credit crisis by betting against subprime mortgages, is hosting the joint Republican National Committee and fund-raiser on Tuesday 21 June in New York City. Other hosts include Stephen Feinberg, founder of Cerberus Capital Management, a private equity firm specializing in distressed investing, and real estate magnate Peter Kalikow.

The New York Times reported that tickets for the New York Trump gala cost $50,000 a person. However, Paulson, Feinberg and Kalikow are paying $250,000 a couple.

Other hosts will include distressed-debt specialist and private equity billionaire Wilbur L. Ross, who was named by the Republican National Committee to its finance committee to help raise money for Trump and the party, and Anthony Scaramucci, a lifelong republican and a hedge fund executive who runs an annual hedge fund conference in Las Vegas called SkyBridge Alternatives Conference, or SALT.
